FAQs
General
Protect My Church uses artificial intelligence to scan your Planning Center forms for threats of violence. Then, it alerts you in real time to review and take action.
At this time, you cannot. If enough people request a certain platform, we’re happy to add it.
Protect My Church is super simple so you shouldn't need much help. But worry-not, we're here for you. Click the support bubble in the lower right corner of the app to send us a support ticket.
To keep the cost to you as low as possible, we don't have a big team of support people so give us 1 business day to respond. Deal?
Any time you're granting access to your data, you should carefully vet the people who hold that access. Write to us at our contact page and we'll send you a few references.
We have our roots as the IT department at a "mega" church and also built the popular church app, Clean My PCO.
Billing
No, there is no onboarding fee.
Unfortunately not. Taking checks means having somebody dedicated to billing and that means paying them and that means adding overhead and that means charging you more.
To meet our mission of being simple, maintenance free, and low cost, we only take credit card payments.
We bill 1 month ahead. If we're in the month of August, your payment in August covers September.
Your billing starts on the day you sign up and becomes your billing date each month. No need prorate.
No, not at this time.
We hope you don't but we understand. Go to the billing page and enter your e-mail address. Make sure it's the same e-mail you used to sign up. Once you login, there's an option to cancel. Alternatively, send e-mail to [email protected] and we'll cancel for you.
There are no contracts so you're free to cancel at any time. Your service ends when your month runs out. We do not refund partial months.
How it Works
When somebody submits a form through Planning Center, Protect My Church sends the content of the form through an outside artificial intelligence engine.
That engine assigns a score. The higher the score, the more likely the contents present a safety risk to the person or to your church. If the score reaches a certain threshold, we send an e-mail. If it scores at or above the next threshold, we also send a text.
No. We all know that sometimes things can be inferred without using words. Other times, the right combination of words may not be recognized by the AI. We can say that we will catch most, but can’t guarantee all.
Simple…sign up, enter a credit card, connect your PCO, and that’s it.
The only personally identifiable information stored in our app is the name and e-mail of the account holder. Your attenders are not pulled into Protect My Church. We use standard best practice security to protect what little data we have.
